I vividly remember the impact of the first time I played computer games when I was 5 years old.
It was a cocktail arcade cabinet placed at the end of a bar or something, taken by my father who apparently had no idea what to do with his kid on the holidays.
It was a time given to me for killing time while my father had a drink.
Fighter planes fly over the awfully green and vivid screen. The fighter flies along with the lever I pressed, and missiles are fired with the trigger I pushed.
Enemy planes crash away with a light sound, and something looks like to be the scores are increasing. Operate the lever desperately to avoid the enemy bullets, then aim and fire by mashing the button.
The simple series of action, that's it, but for a child who had only known books and television as entertainment, the fun of interactive entertainment,
where one could intervene in the world on the screen with the touch of a finger, was truly a shock that sent lightning bolts through the body. I was instantly captivated by its magical power.
Forty years have passed. Although I have learned about various fun things besides playing games, I still cannot get away from its magical power even by now.
You can eat mushrooms to save a princess, become a hero to defeat a demon king, become a historical figure to unify the world, commit all possible evil things that we cannot do in the real world, or train anthropomorphic racehorses.
You can even play online with people you don't know from all over the world. There is no other kind of interactive entertainments like a game.
Among all above, we, Soleil Ltd, develop action games especially focused on the "good feeling when you press buttons" and the touch and feel sensation that is the primal appeal of computer games.
We highly value these sensibilities, and the games we create bring smiles to the faces of users around the world, as well as to the faces of our employees and their families. I hope we continue to be such a company for the future.
